WTF Mielle?!

As I wake in the morning soldiering through my morning routine, I scroll down my phone to see a class action lawsuit against my FAVORITE hair care company! What in the Beauty in Black is going on here?!! I have been using the Rosemary Mint Oil for years now, and there are so many women complaining how the same product has caused significant hair loss on them! Thankfully, the product hasn't negatively impacted me considering I only used it in between hair appointments. I did notice that when I did use it on a more consistent basis, I would find scabs on my scalp. I never understood why I had them because I don't scratch my scalp that damn hard. It all makes sense now.

I am that woman that feels like an entirely new person when I get my hair done. I love going to the salon for the simple reason being- I get to relax and pamper myself. On the other hand, there are times where I can't make it because of other obligations. I wash and style my own hair using Mielle products. I even use them on my daughter who's hair is growing like no other. I don't use the Rosemary Mint oil product on her thankfully, and now I know not to. Hearing this news about a company that I've trusted for years is heartbreaking.

I hope the customers who have been affected by this get the justice they deserve for their emotional distress. Hair plays a huge role in personal appearance and self esteem. I won't speak for all individuals, but I know I would be sick to my stomach seeing my hair come out in clumps.

Now I have to get back on the hunt for a new product for my daughter and I. Damn! It took me forever to find Mielle! I don't like Cantu and Shea Moisture doesn't do the job for me at all! UGH!

Positive thoughts. Positive thoughts. I will find a new hair product that's safe and affordable for my daughter and I. I'm just sad that Mielle is losing so many customers including myself.
